The power generation sector plays a very crucial role for all, and actively overseeing fluid and component conditions stands as the key, go-to element in preventative maintenance.

Whether you're wanting to prevent unexpected failures or simply wanting to keep a close eye on your components health, our premium steam turbine oil testing delivers in-depth analysis, addressing a range of potential issues, including RPVOT & RULER testing.

Our Premium Steam Turbine Analysis Kit will test your oil for:

RPVOT - Otherwise known as the Rotating Pressure Vessel Oxidation Test, this evaluates the remaining oxidation test life. Serious operational problems can occur overtime from varnish and sludge formed from oxidized lubricants.

RULER - This test measures the depletion rate of antioxidant additives present in the oil, allowing you to predict the remaining useful life of your lubricant. This technique targets hindered phenols and amines.

Wear Debris

  • Elemental Analysis - This analysis will provide a breakdown of any potential wear metals which may be hiding in your oil. This will allow you to determine if there is any additional wear happening to your machines components.
  • FW Index - This test will measure the amount of ferrous material which is in your system no matter the size.

Contamination Analysis

  • Particle Count (ISO) - The particle count will also for a cleanliness level of your oil to be determined via the ISO4406:2017 standard.
  • Water K.Fisher - This will detect whether there is any emulsified or free water in your oil.
  • Elemental Analysis - This analysis is done to detect where Boron, Silicon or Sodium is present.

Chemical Analysis

  • Oil Viscosity - This test will ensure that the oil in your system is correct and performing to the required standard.
  • Elemental Analysis - The elemental analysis will detect the additive level and if the additive pack has depleted.
